Solar Thermal Maintenance
Solar thermal systems are often overlooked as a technology but they are the most efficient way to gather energy as they only require a small pump to harvest a large amount of heat. In fact for every unit of electricity spent running the pump, over 40 units of heat can be liberated from the panels.
It's important to keep them well maintained so they are working a their best. Over time the glycol circulating around the system degrades and becomes more acidic, losing it's ability to resist frost damage, and risking damage to the panels and other components
When we service a system we go through a list of checks which includes checking pre-charge pressure of the expansion vessel, replacing the glycol, correct operation of safety valves etc... We'll also give you proper instruction on how to get the best performance out of your system and a short report showing you what work was carried out
